Are the VERY near future of our club. Monty Gimpel is just a few years later.

All are defenders or midfielders. Warnock should bring them in now, give them some time as main players.

We neeed to build this club from internal and get this loit to play in the right way. If Redfearn isn't teaching them the right way, he needs to go. But I think he may be, but we need to bring them in and get them under Warnock immediately.

My one concern is that Warnock has only given himself one more year.

So we may as well start thinking about his replacement now.

Who will take on his work and imporve it, rather than be completely new and dismantle it? You know, the old Liverpool way, or the way we would have gone if we had employed Giles instead of that loser Clough?

That's one of my main concerns, Warnock is looking for a quick fix so may go for players who'll get us up but have nothing for the season after.

Has NW ever said why it's only one year? Did he ask for this, or was it all that he was offered? I'd love to know who makes the decision whether he carries on for another year or not if he wants to. NW or KB?

If he does go, I'm just hoping Moyes is looking for a new challenge. Outsiders might be Terry Butcher or Stuart McCall. Both doing well up north with no money. McCall's team might even pip Rangers!

Warnock only wants a year. It's his "last big challenge" before retiring to Cornwall.

Yes, but at the end of the year, is there an option for him to continue, whether we make it or not?

Well if Warnock fails to achieve promotion and then leaves, Bates might be forced to adopt a different policy because he's hardly going to start spending big and lets face it Warnock is probably the safest appointment a championship club can make if they want promotion.
Personally i thought Grayson was the man to build the club the right way, but wasn't helped by key players being sold (especially Howson from the academy). Plus Bates pretends to be impatient and pretends to demand promotion, but most people can see it's all an act otherwise he would fight harder to keep the likes of Gradel and Howson. Additionally with our ridiculous pricing policy many fans won't be patient. If Warnock lines up in the first game next season with inexperienced youth in the team many will wonder what the hell is going on.

bates is impatient, he does want promotion. He just wants his cake and to eat it too, he wants to be able to sell whoever he wants, whenever he wants, and still have some cheap magician make the remnants of the squad into a promotion winning side.

As for the youth aspect, expect it. bates has already begun his spin, buttering us up for selling half the squad and replacing it with inexperienced youth players who are not ready or not talented enough.

If Lorimer is right that there is no-one out there willing to buy the club, then we are stuck with Bates cos he can't sell it.

So he'd better wise up pretty quick and do what is needed to get the fans back in, otherwise we are heading back towards administration pretty darned quick with the cost infrastructure and the loss-making businesses he has built up.
