I always said he was a pit bull. Evidence of his warrior qualities on Saturday. *But I never realised he busted the other guys nut... http://www.football-league.co.uk/league2/news/20130129/oyebanjo-blow-for-york_2293326_3057234 don't mess with our Charlie Lee. *wish the player well and a speedy recovery.
brb you haven't clashed heads with Charlie recently have you ? <if I'm going to receive the benefit of your sarcasm when next we meet I might as well get in first >
On a serious note there was something missing, to put it mildly, in terms of the medical attention that these two got on Saturday. They should both have gone straight to hospital and it was foolish to turn a potential life threatening situation into a test of bravery. Both benches should have been ashamed.
Bristol I completely agree (wow, never thought i'd say that) I thought it was competely irrespnsible of both Gills and York to allow the players to continue, both were falling all over the place and charlie looked green whenever he came close to me, really poor decision. Of course he wanted to play on, that's his character but you never know with head injuries and it was a disgrace to be honest. I've actually had concussion 3 times all from clashes in games, the last time i thought i was ok and carried on but later blacked out and woke in hospital to be told i had temporary brain damage and couldn't play for 5-6 weeks and off work for a week. Essentially when you run with this tye of injury it accelerates the issues sue to your heart rate and adrenaline, so by carrying on you are masking what could be a potentially life threatening injury.
