Not good enough for this level as a central midfielder. He should have been developed more into a right midfielder. Good move for Charlie to go and get some games but I think its a stupid decision considering the size our threadbare squad. All we need is Lee to get suspended and someone else to get injured and then we are really struggling.
He has just tweeted 'Sad to say goodbye for a while my team mates and fans who have been outstanding to me through tough times! Good luck to all at Gills. I had to go out and play. Extremely relieved to be away after my 'fair opportunity' didn't work out as planned. Some things are best left under the wraps. Best of luck to the lads, fans, gaffer and to paul this coming week and beyond'
He was only signed because of his old man. L2 is the highest level he could probably play at. I never thought he was that much anyway, so not a loss to us, but good luck to him in the future which will probably be where his dad is next. Maybe getting him off the wage bill will help towards getting someone else in. Not convinced he was given a chance by Taylor though, although maybe he saw enough in training to know he wasn't going to be in his plans.
Doubt anyone will come in before the cup game, and after that Scally will have a new manager in place. I expect it to be Taylor but whoever it is will maybe be able to bring one or two in either just before or after the Sheffield Utd game.
not one of our best players but always gave 100%, hope he doesn't just follow wherever MA ends up next would like to see him succeed on his own merits
Charlie Allen came on as a substitute for Tamworth, in the first half, & sent off after just 8 minutes for a bad tackle ......
