Just a quick question do people think that Charlie will want to stay at the club or will he ask for a move sooner rather than later. Is it even worth trying to hang onto him if he does want to go?.

I think he will go to where his old man is employed next. He doesn't live locally anyway and quite frankly he's at best a lower L1 player. I can't see PT keeping him and I don't care if he goes or not.

I'd let him go if he wants to, but as long as his attitude is alright then no reason why he shouldn't stay and make a go of it. Hess jr seems to be doing ok without dad around. You never know, he may do well and improve out of MA's shadow and with different training methods. I suspect 1st team opportunities won't be as forthcoming under the new regime though.

Well he's got a fresh start under Taylor. PT can't just get rid of him like that as our squad isn't big enough to do it. Charlie has potential but his needs that to be reined in and focussed in the right places. Its good that he can play a number of roles but he needs to be focussed down into one, or just like Spiller lose his identity. Just look at Spillers' last season with us, was he central or was a left midfielder? Get him to challenge for one position and see how he can develop. Me personally, I would try and develop his skills as a winger and try and give Whelpdale some competition.

How long will he stay? Depends on if he can grow and keep perfoming under a different manager.

Played in the development squad team that lost 1-0 to Luton today. I would think that PT not rating him so i doubt he'll be in the first team squad anytime soon

Him being in the side ahead of others may have been part of the the friction in the first place, although perhaps PT doesnt feel his head is int he right place at the moment

might be reading too much into it, but on saturday night he retweeted a kent online piece about how he wouldnt be frozen out of the team. Odd timing to retweet it days after it came out, on the same day he didnt make the 18.

Just been talking to him on twitter. He said he's just not making to team, IMO he's better off in the team and can do more of a job than some! Hope he gets picked soon.

I see you exchanging tweets Mike. Nice one. I quite like Charlie Allen at least he instills some energy and enthusiasm.
