Kenny Dalglish is back for Charlie Adam, after completing the signing of Henderson. David Ngog is going to be part of Henderson deal going the other way. I do not think Manchester United is interested in Adam any more. Other speculation is pHil Jones from Blackburn, it is understood Manchester United is also interested in signing Jones.
I don't think we will be in for Adam, the last thing we need is another CM especially after apparently having a bad accepted for Henderson.
I think you will be in for another midfielder, you only have Gerrard and Lucas as established premiership midfielders. Spearing did well and will be a good player in the future, and Shelvey is still unproven for me. Henderson is an ideal replacement for Aquilani and give good coverage for CM and can play on the right wing. I expect another CM will come in, personally I would go for Nolan or Barton from Newcastle before Adam though.
the charlie adam boat has passed (funny how fergie was going on and on about him in january but hasn't stuck a bid in now Scholes has retired). Holloway gambled, was greedy and lost. I hope he runs down his contract and Holloway gets nothing for him
I am with you on that Bozz, cant stand Holloway and would love to see him get nothing for Adam now. I dont think Adam is a "Liverpool standard" player, but do think you need more depth, I think Parker would be ideal for you, or as I previously mentioned Nolan or Barton. Personally I would offer Newcatle Konchesky and Poulson plus £15m for Enrique and Nolan (or £10m plus Enrique and Barton). This would sort out your defence and midfield (more so with another winger, say Nzogbia)

I wish we'd have got Parker 5 years ago (although that would have probably meant no Alonso and no Lucas). Now i'm not so sure... maybe if it was at a good price although i'm sure he'll demand quite the wage
I think we're actually buying more for squad depth than for 1st XI players. Although I expect (hope) there will be 1 or 2 bought to go straight into the team, with others coming in to contend for places. I think Henderson will be the latter. He'll certainly get a lot of game time under Kenny though.
I wouldn't take anyone on the Newcastle team apart from Jose Enrique at the moment. I'm not quire sure where Henderson is going to fit into the team to be honest. We now have: Meireles, Lucas, Shelvey, Spearing, Gerrard, Maxi and Henderson all vying to fit into a 3-4 man midfield. Gerrard and Lucas are sure starts surely, so that leaves Meireles, Shelvey, Spearing, Maxi and Henderson. One or 2 of them are going to have to be sold to be honest.
Would like Adam for £8 million (certainly no more than £10 mill). Would offer mode depth to our squad and is relatively young so would still have good sell-on value.

Thing is though, we're buying youngsters for the squad not for the first team. Maxi will be rotated on the left I expect, Henderson in the centre or on the right. That being said, one may have to leave as you point out.
