Someone asked me why we need Adam when we have a lot of midfielders i them to imagine a game against Man Utd (or anyone for that matter) we are 1 down going into the last 20 mins,you look along the bench and there is Charlie Adam and Jonjo Shelvey sat there....who would you turn to to win you the match? strength in depth is what we need and he gives us that.The transfer does seem to be dragging on however so who knows if it will ever happen.
The offer is reported to be 8mil£ With Blackpool being back in the championship you would think that they would snap the money out of our hands I reckon Halloway is hoping that a bidding war starts so they can get more,see how it goes I do think he will add to our play seen a lot of him now at first i was saying no Hopefully transfer goes through sooner then later
I'm not a huge fan of Charlie Adam but if we can get him for around £8m or less, then he'd be more than useful. I see him as a Plan B i.e. if things aren't going well for us, he can come off the bench, put in some good corners, free kicks etc. However, we need a Plan A as I don't think Lucas, Spearing, Shelvey and even Gerrard are capable (I'm hoping Gerrard has fully recovered from his injuries).
Liverpool should offer Spearing to Blackpool if not Shelvey. I don't think Spearing's quite ready to play every week even though he had a good run at the end of the season. He has determination but we need to make room for some real depth in the squad.
