Hi all, As some of you maybe aware, my younger brother died of a brain tumour just over 3 years ago, since then we've been fundraising to try and help find a cure for or at least increase people's chances of having a longer life. This year 3 of us are doing The Cotswolds Way, a 102 mile trek to try and raise more funds, our total raised so far is over 13k and it would be great if we could get it to 15. Any donation no matter what amount would be most welcome, so if any of you could spare a few pounds, euros, dollars or whatever that would be awesome. https://www.justgiving.com/Annie-O-Mahony If you can donate, please don't forget to gift aid.
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
17.12 miles today, rain, wind and a lots of ups and downs, a hard graft today. Not a great day for photo's.
Can you send us all a map of the route so that we can send somebody to mug you and stop you walking and embarrassing us all. Absolutely magnificent effort mate my best friend died at an early age, mid 40's, from this obnoxious disease.
Thanks Eric, cruel disease mate, where we live we've had 2 boys junior school age die from one, in the last 3 years, really worrying how many young kids are getting it and the numbers are rising, differing views as to why though. Tried to pm you to say thanks fpr your donation but you don't seem to allow them.
Day 4 18.38 miles, much better walking weather than yesterday. Some nice woodland walking today, still lots of ups and downs, 2478ft of climbing.
Day 5 - 15.4 miles , hard going up some of those hills, but another good day. Nice morning, heavy rain from 3pm put a bit of a damper on the afternoon.
Cheers H Couldn't believe it when I saw it, think it's the first time I've ever seen a pub with that name.
