Afternoon all, my mate is organising a football tournament in aid of the Bobby Robson Foundation in early June this year. It will be taking place at Complete Football in Gosforth (next to the racecourse) more details and ticket information are available here:

    http://euro2012kickoff-es1.eventbrite.c ... k=1&ebtv=C

If anyone is interested in entering a team then they are more than welcome to do so but I was thinking it might be a good idea to try to get a not606 team together too. If there are enough interested parties then I will see about trying to get our team sponsored so we don't have to worry about the entry fee but even if not it's only going to be a tenner a head assuming there's 8 of us. Any of you lot interested?

If not please can you share this event

    or tweet this link

We've lowered the price but still struggling for numbers which is a shame as its all for a good cause. Any help is much appreciated.

I'll see what I'm doing then, doing my own fundraising thingies around then but if I'm free then why aye. It'll give me something to aim for since I'm in the middle of trying to cut down the ol' belly.

In saying that, even if I'm five stone lighter I'll still be ****e. <ok>

Too short for me that one! I do the GNR and that's just about enough for me, however this year I'm going for 1 hr 30 so it's going to another fatality case I suspect.

Could get Badgers sister to do it with you and run for the same Charity.

    Just a thought.

a good thought AB but all 4000 places have gone so she would really struggle to get a place I reckon.

there's loads of other races around the north east though.

Pity, it just seemed like a good idea and I guess it would have got more coverage if two of you ran as a team for the same cause.

How about running it for my beer money then?

I'd gladly take your beer money mate. Im doing the GNR for MacMillan too but am just doing the blaydon for fun.
Tell you what though, i'll post a pic up on here of me at the finishing line and anyone who wants to can donate to Badger's charity pot as recognition. I'll basically do the miles on behalf of Badger's sis.
