Character and commitment can't be questioned - Johnson Posted: Tue 07 Mar 2017 Author: Mark Perrow please log in to view this image Head coach hails players' efforts after second-half revival. Johnson full of praise for City players after second-half revival against Norwich Trailing at the interval, Wright equalises before City search for elusive winner Head coach highlights contribution of his substitutes at Ashton Gate Lee Johnson was full of praise for his players after City battled back from behind to earn a point against Norwich City at Ashton Gate. Trailing to Yanic Wildschut’s 39th-minute opener, Bailey Wright’s first goal for the club hauled City level 12 minutes from time. With the home crowd firmly behind them, Johnson’s side looked the more likely winners in a frantic finale in which the visitors were grateful to leave with a share of the spoils. “If anyone questioned our character or commitment, I think the second half completely eradicates that thought,” the head coach told Bristol City Player HD. “The subs were good – they made an impact, which was what we needed, and we looked like the team that was going to win it. “We threw a bit more caution to the wind, which we had to, and we got on the front foot. We looked like we were the fitter side and fatigued the opposition. “They brought a centre-half on, while we brought on two centre-forwards and a number ten. “We went for it and had numerous chances. We thought we had a handball from a header and put a lot of crosses and corners into the box against a really good side – you have to remember their resources and where they are. “They’re a tough team to play against, particularly on the counter with their pace, but I’m proud of the players because it was a tough environment to play in. “That point could be a big point in our future, but we’ve got to go to Wigan and get a result.”
We have won 2 out of the last 22 games, losing 11 out of the last 17 and earning just 12 points out of the last 66 and our supreme head coach is bragging about the 'Character and Commitment' of our team, it's shambolic and it's all down to him. It's a shame our management and owner does not show the same 'Character and Commitment' to us fans and boot out this non entity of a head coach who has axed his assistant coach, holds the record for management losing matches in Bristol City history, openly admits to making tacticle errors, falls out with players, who's substitutions, team selection and playing tactics are a complete nonsense, who along with the owner blames fans for having an opinion, the man is toxic, he has turned fans against fan, he is a total waste of space, who is full of waffle, skillful at bending the facts and hiding the truth, he will get us relegated, he is a complete embarrassment to our club and us fans. We need someone with experience, maturity, man management skills, patience and the ability to instill belief, pride and passion into our players and make us fans and the people that support our club walk with a spring in our steps and be proud of being a RED again, Johnson's efforts are bluff and bluster and as flat as a witches tit, get shot of the little buffoon as quickly as possible if we are going to survive.
Draws aren't good enough. SL reminds me of Japanese soldiers...they know the war is lost but pride compels them to not admit defeat. I'm okay if Steve wants to piss his money away but not MY CLUB. BCFC is a community asset. Treat it accordingly please.
Character and Commitment Can't Be Questioned But the judgement and abilities of the (mis) owner and the Manager certainly can be.
If only But I'm afraid that BCFC is just a rich mans toy and the Rich Man seems determined to drive us back to L1 single handed. He is a disgrace.
With the home crowd firmly behind them, Johnson’s side looked the more likely winners in a frantic finale in which the visitors were grateful to leave with a share of the spoils. "Character and Commitment Can't Be Questioned , I think the second half completely eradicates that thought,” the head coach told ( wouldn't exactly say eradicates that, but did show a one for all and all for one attitude ) We got a point which can only be a plus, but I do have reservations on our starting line up which might change Sat should Tammy get a recall. HE SET HIMSELF A TARGET OF 30 GOALS and from his reaction at and after Leeds was so beside himself with disbelief I hope he doesn't over try it to get there! We had WILBS bless his cotton socks when we could have had Taylor and / or Milan. I take my hat off to the crowd, that 90 minutes must always be sacred and behind the team doing good or bad. A better "report" and not so much waffle ... 3 or 4 good honest points made that were applicable to the game... well done all, tea lady through fans, team to management......
