There's no way this won't get political and it will be deleted as soon as it does.

It's taken this long for finally a proper fence to be erected at the tunnel. Ridiculous.

Those wanting to get across the channel are already in a completely safe country and make a mockery of what we agree is a "safe haven" for those who risk their lives searching for a safe place

Anyone in the haulage industry? I wonder what happens to all the perishable loads which are sat on the M20?

Fed up with the Tunnel myself or more so Operation stack, which does not just affect the tunnel or the ports, it gridlocks major arteries throughout Kent. News channels such as Sky, only show the immediate affected vicinity's around the M20/A20. The old section of the M2 alternative cannot cope and has had no redevelopment for decades to take this impact between the Medway Towns (Gillingham) and Swale (Faversham) only two lanes, it only needs one minor incident on this stretch to gridlock areas 30/40 miles out! Using the M20 motorway as a lorry park was never meant to become a long term ongoing solution, pushing all traffic via alternative routes that are not adequate for such major flow of continental flow. The stretch of the M20 (Hollingbourne section) was not built to become a lorry park, I admit I don't know the solution but we are fed up with taking the brunt of the UK's freight, basically, keep it moving through or keep it out and stop focusing on the migrants as being the main problem, this is down to poor planning and infrastructure to cope with inadequate emergency measures. The migrants are a separate issue but the knock on affect to the governments failure (both sides of the channel) to find a solution for both scenarios.

Lucky we're an island. Makes it someone else's problem innit.

Just the Irish for us to worry about.

I have no idea what benefits/public services/handouts any immigrants get from the UK or if they benefit the country in net revenue, but clearly our systems are a tad generous given the massive influx.

Kinell, Gambler, at least wait until Monday. I'm booked to return on the Eurostar Sunday morning.

We traveled St. Pancras to Gard De Nord on Tuesday.

Blasted thru the tunnel drinking Champers, no problem.

Saw nowt except a couple of gendarmes asleep in a van.

Arrived in Paris on time, nicely pissed.

Had a great Gallic we-don't-give-a-flying-**** moment today though.

    Caught a train to Versailles.

Four stations short, the driver stops the train. Orders everybody off. Leans out of his cab. Shouts out that there is sans electrique and buggers off.

Leaving a couple of hundred people abandoned **** knows where.

Nobody about. No one to help.

    Eventually we found an official.

I asked when the bus replacement service would arrive.

I've never heard a Frenchman laugh so heartily before.

    It was quite impressive.

Not sure what effect it will have on your journey Ernie if any, but make sure you jettison anything you don't need and fill your cases/bags/underpants with cheap ciggies and booze.

In all the jingoistic and little Englander bollocks we read and hear about this, what seems to be missing is anyone wondering what the actual **** makes someone spend so much money to risk their lives on a perilous sea crossing, then to walk across half of Europe to then risk their lives yet again getting through a tunnel to arrive on our shores with the high likelihood of being stuck in another camp, then eventually deported again.

They believe in a lie. Some of you also believe in that lie. Usually Daily Mail readers.

I think it's the lure of the Premier League. Finest league in the world.

    Or our warm welcoming nature.

Besides, who the hell would want to live in France? It's full of Frenchies ffs.
