to a station called Quest, whatever that is. Colin Murray will host the show as he does with the Channel 5 one at the moment. https://www.efl.com/news/2018/may/quest-becomes-new-home-of-efl-highlights/
not sure about him, but I quite like the format, otherwise. Only bothered when we win, like most, I guess.
I always thought that CH5 football show was a waste of space anyway. You could get to see just as much of the highlights on SSN. Plus Twitter always seem to post the goals now. Do you remember when the Championship Football show used to be on the BBC with host Manish and that idiot that played for Pompey/Leicester. Championship football on TV will always be seen as the poor mans Premiership.
It's not a great show, but as I don't have Sky or BT Sports, I'll watch it on a Sunday morning if the results sound interesting. Better than nothing, eh?
Steve Claridge. Can't stand him either. Didn't he always seem to have a dig at us, or did I imagine that?
I'm really only interested in the QPR highlights (or low-lights as is the case some weeks!) - all available here around 5pm on Saturday each week.... Championship Videos & Highlights | Sky Sports Football http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/championship All the other games are there too if you want them, plus previews and post match analysis for some games.
He seemed to dislike any club he hadn't played for. We were one of about three in the football league that the journeyman lump never graced with his presence.
That makes me feel better now. So it wasn't just us he disliked. I remember one game where we won 3-0 and thrashed the other team. On the show he claimed that we were "lucky to win" . The bloke is a muppet.
Claridge is a right numpty! Can’t stand the guy. He has ideas way above his ability!! Full of waffle and crap - no idea why BBC or C4/5 even employ the guy. Total twat. Otherwise, I’m sure he’s ok. NOT REALLY!!
I can just imagine him in his monotone drone "on another day they could have lost that 6 or 7 nil." At his best laughable, at his worst he was dredging the barrel of bad, clichéd punditry.
I kind of understand where you're coming from but that's a poor attitude for the future of football. Football is good when it is competitive. Skill and flare only enhance it a little like a bit of condiment on the side. There can be a bloody entertaining, competitive Conference/non-league game and an utterly boring Barcelona match, for instance. I feel 100% certain that if BBC or ITV etc. bought the rights to Championship games and put out several games a week, the Championship would grow in following on TV. With that said, is a lot of football on TV good for football anyway, EPL or not? I'd rather we go back to the old days and football be live in person only. Call me old fashioned, I don't mind.
