I've often thought about whether I'd want us to change from Black and Amber, Does anyone know if an established league side have ever changed theirs ?

There's been alot of teams in the football league that have changed their original colours. It depends how far you want to go back research wise.

Didn't Leeds change their shirts from blue and yellow to white because Revie wanted to emulate Real Madrid? Or is that an urban myth.

Here's a decent link for historical kits and it has a decent write up about each club.

Leeds changed from blue and yellow (still essentialy their club colours) to white under Revie because he wanted them to be like Real Madrid FFS.

They also used to be nicknamed the Peacocks if I'm not mistaken (pub at the rear of the Bellend Road end named after them)

They wore blue and white stripes until the mid 1930's. Reason for Peacocks nickname is they were first formed in a pub called the Peacock. It isn't the one at the back of Bellend Road, but a bit further down the road into Leeds. The pub behind the goal is the Old Peacock whilst the one which is older further down the road is called The Old Peacock. Their badge used to be an owl, something to with owls being on the city coat of arms. Revie was superstitious and changed it thinking it brought bad luck. For some odd reason he decided to do that the season after they'd won the league for the first time in their history plus the Fairs cup. so a good quiz question is to ask when was the last time the league was won by a team with an owl as their badge and wait for any Wednesday fans to put the wrong answer.

We started off in White I think, have to check, but it certainly wasn't Black and Amber.

Personally I love the black and amber, it really separates us from the rest (except maybe wolves). There are so many teams in English football that wear either Blue or Red, it's good to be different.

adidas kit from 80-82 looks about the best!

Any idea why the club badge and admiral manufacturer logo suddenly swapped sides?
