I was just reading some Hull City Articles and just find how different the team is now. First Game of the season Vs Swansea ----------------Duke----------------- Solano---Zayatte---Gardner---Dawson ----------------Ashbee-------------- Atkinson---Bostock---Cairney---Kilbane ---------------Garcia---------------- Duke - Has not played a lot since Solano - Has not played a lot since Zayatte - Zayatte left Gardner - Left on loan Atkinson - Has not played since i don't think Bockstock - Was only on loan Cairney - Has not played a lot since Kilbane - Left on Loan Garcia - has not played for a while Last Game Vs Milwall ---------------Guzan--------------- Chester---Hobbs---Gerrard---Dawson Koren---Harper---Evans---Devitt---- ---------Fryatt---Mclean----------- As you can see Dawson is the only player who played both the first game and the game against Milwall But will much change next year with Guzan,Hobbs,Gerrard,Evans all on loan
I think if we had carried on with that team we would have found ourselves in a relegation battle! I'm glad NP has had the chance to put his own stamp on the team and I think next season when he has more freedom in the transfer market we will see what will be truly his team, one he can assemble without the financial uncertainty like at the start of this season.
Tbh a lot of the players we have atm may have being looked at for the short term, however Rosenior, Fryatt, Chester, Stewart all look like great signings for the long term future of the club. Also i feel we need at least another 6 players if we are to challenge for automatic promotion, no doubt we will also use our loan limit, well with us and Leicester he always used them so i doubt any of us can predict who we are going to sign!
We've come a long way this season, it is a bit disappointing that we fell short in the end but without the turnaround from the management we would be down there with Preston, probably with Megson or worse for a manager. UTT and can't wait for next season already, going to be fun I think!
