is coming! look on the bright side lads, games like this tend to bring change quicker, the catalyst for an attitude change or the manager leaving, the penultimate game before the final call one way or the other. Im not in either camp when it comes to CH, i think hes a decent bloke so im not shouting for him to leave\sack but its time for the players to pull there fingers out their proverbials and be counted. No excuses anymore... Take a look at yourself and your loyals fans players... If we had lost 1-0 that would have done us no favours at all, this way at least getting smashed today 7-0 might just might bring on the serious change we need right now. Goals difference makes no difference if you havent got the points so its time to do or die Thankyou Man city
Errrr. Someone was bound to get a spanking at City...Looks as if it was you lot.... Hard to believe but your only six points off the mighty HCAFC
Clearly Man City are capable of giving most teams in this league a "spanking" but it was the manner in which it happened that is so hard to take. We were AWFUL in every single department today and if you are going to get well beaten by Man City you would hope you have made them work for it. Not today. We were abysmal.
Even bloody shearer has had someone tell him; "look at how crap Norwich are with their passive standoff defending". And his researcher is bang on. The only way you stay with the teams with vastly more talent than you is to get in their faces! Not CH, have your players stand in pretty lines in front of them! CH's Norwich, can't defend, can't attack leave alone score, Can only keep the ball occasionally and fold faster than someone with 7 high! The is but one change required. I'd say he should fall on his sword, but a sword is an attacking weapon so he won't have one, if he does he'd miss the f#cker! Bah!
It's ridiculous that we should get turned over by these second-raters, isn't it? The obscene money we spent, we could have bought Aguero's left bollock. What were we thinking?
Sorry Aguero's left bollock is firstly to short to be signed by CH, and secondly has to much creativity in it for Hughton to trust! Bah!
Will it? Do you know for sure that the teams in 17th/18th at the end of the season will be on the same points? Good old you - any idea of the lottery numbers that week?
I don't think Chris Hughton actively sets out to sign non-'creative' (which I think is a rather vague and meaningless term in a footballing context anyway) players. It is is obvious that we create less chances under CH than we did under PL, but PL is gone now and he left by his own doing. CH doesn't deliberately go out of his way to make the team play badly, it is just that confidence is low (or at least that is my best guess, why we are struggling so much is a mystery). Until McNasty decides it is time for Hughton to go then he is still the manager of our club so we should all get behind him and stop trying to undermine him. OTBC
ALWAYS amazing to see you Budgerigars leak 7 (SEVEN)! Karma is a bitch, you bird brains are reaping what you have sown. ENJOY!
my point was so much POSITIVE from today with regards to what happens next, it draws a line and what good really was 1/2/3-0 regardless of the performance, now they either have to step up or something is going to give, and you know what happens when we hit the magic seven mike, the rest is history
No, but I looked this up a few weeks ago and it's less than 1 seasons in 4 where a team have gone down on goal difference, getting the points on the board is the important bit, so in the scheme of things, if this defeat is the catalyst for better things, then goal difference won't matter. I think that's almost a positive pulled from today???
Now my emotions have simmered down a bit after today's game. I wouldn't get rid of Hughton yet. I still remain on the fence because as much as today was awful, the Cardiff and Chelsea game filled be with just as much hope. I do think time is running out for Hughton to get us fully operating. By that I mean getting the RIGHT service into Hooper/RVW. Today's game won't really matter in the grand scheme of things. You don't stay up by beating Man City, it helps, but it's beating the teams around you. We've had a tough run in the last few weeks so the lack of points we have probably isn't as bad as it seems. Next week is crunch time though, we have to get it right. The next 3 games we have to see improvement and substance in our good play. If not than I think it may be time to look elsewhere for a manager. Bit risky, but as there is not too many candidates around, I wouldn't mind Rene Meulensteen.
I saw his name mentioned on twitter last night and must confess to knowing zero about him, apart from he's worked with Mike Phelan and carlos Queiroz. (sp) There are no suitable candidates currently out of work in England that I can think of - and in any case, Swansea and Saints fortunes have kind of gone from strength to strength since they went down the 'foreign' route
