This is a thread I started at the beginning of 2012/13 season...do you think that what I was implying has come true?................... Change of luck part 2 At the beginning of last season I started a thread saying we wouldn't win anything without a change of luck. I was pretty much shouted down by people saying that luck evens out over a season. Well that didnt happen last season did it..in fact quite the opposite. Last week against WBA nothing seemed to have changed. So the fact still remains that we seem to have some real bad luck as opposed to the likes of Chelsea and united. Already this season Chelsea have scored an offside goal and had at least one dubious penalty. United yesterday were very fortunate to get all 3 points against a good looking fulham team. Until we get those breaks in the box,the correct offside decisions,coming up against average keepers putting in world class performances,avoiding the woodwork I dont think we will get near top four. Let's hope BR is a more " lucky" manager.
Luck doesn't balance itself over the course of the season, that's a bollocks statement from anyone. Luck is completely random; sometimes you get some and lose others in equal parts, sometimes you get **** all for a short span, sometimes you get nothing for years, sometimes you get all of it... Right now, we're getting quite a bit of it but that could change even tomorrow.
But that's my point. Past seasons we haven't had the 'rub of the green' this season we have. Every team needs a bit of luck to win a title/cup and now we are getting a few things going our way ,well what do you know we are 4 games from glory.
