Lets prey that the new manager doesn`t continue with the policy of playing maynard or pitman up front on their own, - we havent got the midfielder to thread the balls through that they can run onto. We just aim high balls at them that they have no chance of winning in the air. We will never score enough goals unless our final pass is clinical. If we play this way we must play taylor up front to win the aerial challenge and lay the ball back to our midfielders.
Against palace we played well but never created a single worthy effort. Same story, played well but lost. Millen and Wigley play the england way but we havent got the players to do it.
Marv is our main aerial threat, he busts a gut to get on the end of crosses but after running 50 yards to get there he hasn`t got the composure to finish it off.
People say maynard isn`t interested, thats not the case - he is just not the type of player to play that role and never will be, yes he scored 2 against leicester but one was a free kick and the other was a defenders mistake and he ran at them.
Lets hope the new manager plays a formation suited to the players at our disposal.
