Heavy snow forecast between 8.00 pm and 2.00 am, with tomorrow's weather looking fine.

I suppose it depends on how much snow actually comes down, but I should think they'll still be able to get it on.

Would think it is okay at present but there is a ****load of snow forecast for this afternoon and overnight so that might make a difference. Might not make a decision till the morning

AS long as it doesn't come down in shed loads later tonight as forecast and H&S freaks deem it unsafe on the roads & footpaths - obviously won't be a problem with the KC pitch.. its forecast to be 3 or 4 deg above tomorrow..

Are we talking about the game at the KC? Don't we have undersoil heating? In which case just turn that on and the snow will melt away. If they can get a game on at London Road after heavy snow, they can play a game at the KC....

There won't be an issue with the pitch, there never has been, any game cancelled due to snow in the past was because the area around the ground was deemed too dangerous.

Tomorrow's youth game at Ideal Standard has just been called off.

The youth teams pitch at Ideal is right near my house, the pitch is just literally white they've not even tried clearing it. Don't blame them.

Why don't they have heating under the roads and pavements then?

The sad thing is it's only been a problem in the last 3 years or so. Just like the school closures every time it snows, the surrounding areas of the stadium was never a reason to close it before, but suddenly in the last few years football fans and school children will die if they experience snow.

Just use the soup machines to boil some water mixed with a few drops of alcohol/salt and throw it round the outside of the stadium, that'll melt the ice. Although preferably not while we are walking around the ground.
