Quite poignant for me having grown up in Porth.

Which fits perfectly with the current news...... Why is this virus called corona the only corona I knew was a Porth pop factory who supplied the valley's with delicious sugary beverages.

Remote I always shed a tear at rhondda grey and I'm not even from there lol..... Certainly gives a feel for the valley's simplistic lives.......... Don't tell Masky I cry he will bully me again

 

I remember the pop lorries coming round the streets. Big bottles with dimpled necks. And 6d back for the bottle. Collected quite a few in my early years, whether they wanted collecting or not.
Was just behind the library off Pontypridd Rd.
The pop factory later became the Pop Factory. Lots of local bands started out using their facilities.
Don't get to Porth often enough. Usually just a flying visit when picking my mother up for a visit.
Not quite a grey as it used to be...…….

 

Lol great memories dude..... Pop day for me was Saturday about four in the afternoon just before the full times and the pink panther show..... In valley fashion Roy who's round it was, was and still is known as Roy the pop.
