Here are the latest odds for teams to be promoted this season - we are 16-1, but the bookies (Ladbrokes in this case) have 3 worse than us.

Personally I like the look of Bolton and Blackburn at the moment - thoughts?

    To be promoted:
    Leicester 15/8
    Bolton 9/4
    Wolves 5/2
    Cardiff 10/3
    Blackburn 7/2
    Leeds 7/2
    Nottingham Forest 7/2
    Birmingham 4/1
    Brighton 9/2
    Blackpool 5/1
    Middlesbrough 5/1
    Sheffield Wednesday 7/1
    Ipswich 7/1
    Charlton Athletic 7/1
    Watford 8/1
    Hull 10/1
    Burnley 10/1
    Derby 12/1
    Huddersfield Town 12/1
    Millwall 16/1
    Bristol City 16/1
    Barnsley 20/1
    Crystal Palace 25/1
    Peterborough 33/1

The odds to "win" are in a similar order (we are 50-1)

PS - Rovers are 14-1 in League 2 (joint 5th)

Just a thought, how can they calculate our odds when we, let alone they don't even know the quality of our final line-up for the K/O,it's a load of cods-wallop..

Given how the transfers have gone so far would have thought Blackburn would be favourites with players like Danny Murphy and Gomes.

My top two currently would be Blackburn and maybe Cardiff. Also how are Blackpool 10th! if they can keep hold of their players I'd would say they will finish top 6 again.

But does show how close the league is that we are 16-1 and are 21st favourites. Rovers are 14-1 and are 5th Favourites in their league. if the above information is correct.

Wiz - it's anti-post betting - you bet on what you know now - odds will change all the time - for example Forest have shortened since the take-over

Don't forget this is the odds for going up - odds for winning the league are bigger (e.g we are 16-1 to go up, but 50-1 to win it)
You can make a case for about 15 clubs - shows what an exciting league it is!

Has something happened at Leicester? I would say Wolves, Blackburn, Blackpool and Bolton plus others are better and stronger teams. we had all this last season with Sven in charge and it was great to see what a flop they turned out to be!

    Not good to be favourites....

We need to go into every game this coming season with the mindset that we had in 2008 when we came up from L1, which was to fear no-one

Thats where having new players in the squad comes in.
I would feel a good deal more optimistic with Buzaski and Keogh in the team

Think Huddersfield could be a great shout as an outside bet for top 6 this year...

Watford could plummet, they played really poor football last year and it will be interesting to see how that Zola's passing philosophy.. Obviously unless they sign a load of continental players it'll be different.

With our signings (lack of) so far I'd agree with the Bookies that we were one of the favourites to go down.

Looking at the list of teams in the Championship above Millwall is daunting.
Without 3 or 4 more decent 1st choice signings our best hope is we win the mini league below.

    Millwall
    Bristol City
    Barnsley
    Crystal Palace
    Peterborough

I might put a monkey on Celtic in the SPL!
Also a tenner on rovers ending up AGAIN the lowest placed S West football club, must be very embarrassing for the few supporters.

Anyone know where Huddersfield are getting their money from? Or are they spending money they think they will get for Rhodes?

Hudderfields were the League one version of Arsenal as Rhodes was their RVP who got most of their goals. You have to wonder how they will do if they sell Rhodes. Guess they will be hoping to do what Everton did when they sold Rooney as the money bought them a whole new team.
