...well our youngsters are anyway. http://www.chelseafc.com/news/lates...eague-report--chelsea-v-shakhtar-donetsk.html And our under-18's still have the Youth Cup final to come! Any talk of Chelsea youth always comes with that caveat though: will any of them make it in the first team? Brown, Solanke, RLC and Christensen are the stand out talents. Boga is a bit of an enigma, sometimes brilliant, sometimes useless. Da Silva is talented but I see him as a better winger than full-back. And if Dyke has his way, we may be forced to promote some of them which mightn't be a bad thing. The future's bright, the future's blue
Getting 2-3 into our first team squad next year is a must really and making sure they get some decent game time. But it probably won't happen...
RLC, and Bamford. we need to strenghten those positions. if it doesn't happen for them next year I give up.
10000% Agree. With how good Bamford has been out on loan, if he cannot even get a spot in our first team as third choice striker then please log in to view this image
Whilst he deserves it, how much game time will he get even if drafted into the squad? Drogba needs 2 players to be injured or suspended to get a game this season. Not sure it would massively help his development to get a handful of games next year. Tricky one. RLC slightly different as more opportunity for a box to box midfielder to get games.
We are playing in 4 competitions. a dozen league sub appearances, plus playing in the FA Cup and League cup. Plus he would get to train with Costa, Remy etc and other players who would teach him a thing or two.
Kane was in a similar position like Bamford. See how things changed. Jose can give them 6 months time and few cup games to see their progress, if not loan them.
It is doubtful, the pressures of the league and CL will mean the first teamers who are not getting picked will get FA cup and league cup leaving nothing for the others. Tis the way it is these days such is the pressure to win
Tbh Spurs are not Chelsea, it's easier and anyway Kane has been exceptional, same amount of goals as Costa and Aguero in the league.
No , my point is did you seriously expected THAT from Kane? I never did. Confidence from Manager and continuous run do that to one.
I am saying Kane might not have got to do that if he was at Chelsea. At Spurs it was easier for him to break through.
Again, my point is if a player is good enough - manager should trust and give opportunity. Jose needs to show this. I don't buy the gulf in pressure between Chelsea v Spuds.
