Pretty much all we could wish for, one of the weakest teams on paper and a short trip. First game at home, if we give them a thrashing then we can rest a few players for the return match. If we get knocked out then we don't deserve to be in the group stage anyway, as you say.
i don't think we should be looking at this as an easy draw, they are where they are for a reason. I hope the team don't underestimate them like everyone on here is, as it could backfire on us. I've watched them play quite abit in Europe, and they're no mugs, so we'll need to play well to get through
We shouldn't underestimate any team at the moment, we have never looked secure in a game for almost two years. The days of steamrollering opponents have gone for now, it is a time to be efficient.
Oh I dont know guys. Club Bruges may be a decent side but just wait until LVG bamboozles them with our line up. When they turn up and see Blind and Carrick at CB, Depay as AM, Valencia as RB, Rooney in goal and Fellaini up front they wont have a clue what to do!
no matter what team plays we should be winning this game comfortably. As for Blind in defence. Why not just play Carrick there or buy a centreback (I understand we have loads and nobody wants Evans but one more can't hurt can it?)
I'm not worried who is in defence if we're keeping clean sheets. The defence I felt did pretty well yesterday
