That's not even being negative. That's just the facts.

This season, we knew from the start that we wouldn't be able to catch the two manchester clubs, but with a bit of luck, Chelsea might falter and Liverpool wouldn't gel so we could still be safe in the top four.

How times change. Carling cup on Tuesday, if we lose that the club's pretty much ****ed.

Who could replace wenger, you ask? There are lots of people. There's the obvious ones such as Ancelotti (Who would go, he's out of a job, so probably) and Hiddink (Has proved he is good enough to manage in the premier league), managers who've done well in the premier league, (Martin O Neil, David Moyes) and obscure ones from Europe, who would be just like Wenger (Doing well at a club in Europe, but not worldwidely famous). Someone like Jurgen Klopp comes to mind there.

But something needs to change, and this is simply why:

I was listening to the game today on 5 live. At 3-2, I knew Blackburn were gonna score. Do you know what I mean? We have ZERO confidence in our own team at the moment.

We can pretty much rule out champions league qualification, to be honest. Damage limitation, finishing sixth and missing out on the europa would be ideal.

We are the Liverpool of this season. Need a completely new team, new owners (not new owners, maybe Usmanov) and a new manager (Let's face it, I actually feel sorry for Wenger, he could do much more at another club.)

Maybe it's time to bite the bullet and accept this season as a write off.

I will never write off finishing 4th after 5 games and it is most definitely not a fact.

    No this is being negative
This will be a fact when we are mathematically unable to finish 4th and we don't win the CL
So how about you shut up, stop being a gloomy gus and support your team instead of writing them off

  5. I too don't think you can write off an entire season after five EPL games. However, the trend is worrying and this trend began just after the Carling Cup final of last season. Yes one could say there were reasons for the results of this season which range from idiotic players getting themselves sent off ( I really don't care if at SJP, Barton was faking it for instance because players must realise they have an entire game to play and need to know there is a line that cannot be crossed ), to injuries and insufficient depth in the team due to departing members in the summer who were not replaced until recently. However there are also circumstances which this management has allowed to occur which has resulted in the delays which has meant the team has not had time to gel. So there are failures of management which need to be addressed along with failures by players. There are inadequacies in strategy, tactics up and down the field. It shouldn't have all mounted up like that and the responsibility for that has to lie with the management. I wouldn't like to lose Arsene but it hasn't seemed to be working since March so he has to turn this around or the inevitable will come.

If Spurs draw with Liverpool today then things are not that bad

If you look at the game, the three goals conceded were the result of Sagna departing, Djourou is a hopeless defender, much less a right back. Once again, we lose a player to injury, and we collapse as a result. Team is not mentally capable, not tactically aware, has no defensive plan. All the managers fault IMHO. Wenger does not realise that we cannot defend in the same way as we did against Dortmund, as we do against Blackburn. Again, comes down to tactics, Arsenal are unable to adapt as the game changes. The blame lies squarely on the manager.

Wasn't it Einstein who said that insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result each time?

  12. I posed this question earlier today. Now, of course, we know that we are going to win, it's just a question of by how much?

Does everyone now agree that 4th place is for us to lose?

We are 5 games into the season. It's way too early to tell who is going to finish 4th.

A few seasons ago Hull were 3rd in October.......

I'm saying that it's pointless saying that it's only been five games and that there are loads left. That implies that our form is an anomoly, and not a result of some deep-seated issues with the way the team is right now. If we can't expect anything to change, we can't expect a magical turnaround for no reason.

Don't get me wrong i'm not denying we have deep rooted issues but mathematically we have every chance of winning the league still, let alone finishing 4th!

    I say wait until Christmas.
If we are still in the same predicament, then I'll start listening to some of the people who want wenger out.

My hunch is that I won't be though.

Mathematically, Norwich have every chance of winning the league still.

Kind of a redundant statement at this stage.

    A season is 38 games, not 5
