I will have the situation all the time now over the next three or four weeks. “We thought it best to give him three or four days proper training and then he'll be available for us, which is very good news.” After losing the Europa Cup final there will be a determination to get a bit of revenge and start our Champions League campaign with a win, Sevilla are no mugs though and we'll have to be at our best. Coutinho pulling the strings will give us more control of the game but as always our defence is a worry. please log in to view this image The Main Men please log in to view this image The only bit of quality we have at the back. please log in to view this image Ganso will be one to keep quiet.
Blame the international break, breaks up conversation as nobody really gives a **** about qualifying games. For myself, didn't see the Citeh game as I was out (did see alittle at the end), didn't watch motd as could be bothered to watch the shower of ****, can't watch the CL game as its on BT and on a Wednesday so I'm out again anyway... So not got much to say about football atm. (also the server seems to be on and off atm)
Added a match day thread for you! Be good to get off to a win against a good Sevilla side who will be main challengers to go through. First game as home, crowd should be right up for this one and players should be geared up wanting to put that 5-0 behind them!
Wijnaldum has to be dropped. I would say Henderson too, but then we are getting light on numbers. Front 3 as per usual and hopefully the defenders try defending in this one.
They're unbeaten this season, and they're not off the back of an arse gaping...... 7th is better than 11th btw....
A big defeat does undermine confidence - that's why it's important to bounce right back. You need a few good games to take the nasty taste away. If we have a hangover from this, it could affect our entire season, if we get back to normal, then after half a dozen games it'll just seem like a blip. I'm hoping we might learn from this now, tbh. The failure to defend is as much down to philosophy as anything else, and maybe that experience will tell Klopp, that it actually is important to know how to defend sometimes. We spend most games on the front foot, and the players just don't know how to adapt when the tide turns.
