Seven British clubs will find out on Thursday who they will face in the Champions League and Europa League. Manchester United, Arsenal and Celtic are in the day's first draw, for the last 16 of the Champions League. Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea will discover their opponents in the last 32 of the Europa League - and the last 16, should they progress. Manchester United are in the group winners' pot for the Champions League draw in Nyon, Switzerland, but will not face Arsenal in the next round as clubs from the same country cannot be drawn together. Nine-times European champions Real Madrid are one of several potential opponents for United from the pot containing clubs that finished as runners-up. Celtic, who clinched a place in the knock-out phase with a dramatic win over Spartak Moscow, are also in the runners-up pot and could face United. Would love to see a Celtic United match!
Arsenal will be ****ting themselves at the prospect of Barcelona again. Although Dortmund is another team to avoid.
Galatasaray v Schalke Celtic v Juventus Arsenal v Bayern Munich Shakhtar Donetsk v Borussia Dortmund AC Milan v Barcelona Real Madrid v Manchester United Valencia v Paris St Germain Porto v Malaga WHAT A DRAW!!!!!!
I bet Fergie is cursing his luck! United win the group and get the toughest draw out of the 3 British clubs.
Every draw is hard to predict a winner, which is unusual this early in the knock out stages. All the favourites drawn against each other. Should be one hell of a round.
The standout tie for me (apart from Real v United) is Shakhtar v Dortmund. 2 teams that play great, attacking football. Those 2 games should be fantastic.
