I've borrowed this from Test Match Special, but what was your Champagne moment? For me it was Fox's goal. He's been written off by more Charlton fans than I've had hot dinners, but what a superb strike it was, completely unexpected and unsaveable. Surely every Charlton fan was pleased for the lad? Close contenders would be Watt's goal. and Pope's ovation after that wonderful save.

I enjoyed the whole afternoon; just being there again.

    Some oddities I enjoyed included:

    • The QPR fan getting kicked out but putting up a fight (first of the season?)
    • Fox making a slide tackle and putting the grass back after he scuffed up the pitch
    • The Upbeats
    • 'Guy Luzon, He Sits Where He Wants'

From afar, the Fox goal and the Pope save. Both might help the confidence of the lads, and keep some Brits in the squad for Royston. All good stuff, and the way we have started is just great.

At the end of our promotion season, the Blessed Saint Christopher was asked "What was your most important game of the season? The one where we clinched promotion, the one where we came from behind to beat Wednesday, or what?" He replied, "The first game, against Bournemouth. Until we played our first league game, I did not really know what we had. It was such a relief to know we had been building on the right lines."

This game was somewhat similar. A lot of new players thrown together after a rubbish pre-season. Many have tipped us for relegation, far fewer for the play-offs. We could have been awful. We weren't.

I don't think it was "sits"

And mine was Tony Watt's goal, was great team work by the lads and the front line the dummy by Makienok.

And not involving yesterday but the debut of Joe Gomez today was nice to see
