Apparently we've all got the bloke wrong! https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/luke-chambers-on-his-passing-ability-1-5822834
He isn't fooling anybody. He's been a brilliant servant for the club and you can tell most the players respect and look up to him as a captain, but he's never looked comfortable with the ball at his feet and I don't rate him as an effective ball-playing defender. He is our second best centre-back at the club, currently, but if we want to push forwards and stay in this division, then we are going to need to phase the likes of Chambers out of this side. Otherwise, we are never going to progress.
When he first came to the club he looked a half decent player, not the best with the ball at his feet but not someone who you'd criticise for being a too far. Unfortunately it seems like Mick has coached the little ability he had out of him, putting him at RB for 3 years didn't help. Very much like the Sears situation
