Supposing Chamberlain is injured satuday, who would you play in his place? De Ridder, Guly, Forte or even Holmes? Personally id go for De Ridder, looks a good player and I dont think we see the best of Guly when hes out wide!
I don't think it'll be Forte or Holmes as they played against Eastleigh yesterday. I'd rather De Ridder, although I have a feeling Adkins may prefer Guly. Guly is a good player, but I don't think he's very effective out wise, especially when Leeds supposedly have a weak left back who we need to take advantage of, so De Ridder for me!
I would go for Do Prado and push him and Lallana up either side of Lambert. De Ridder hasn't played a competitive match for us and I think it would do him good to be phased in. Guly has a touch of class about him that I reckon will really show at this level, even more so than last season.
A gallery has just gone up on the OS showing Chamberlain training? I know it doesn't mean he's match fit, but he can run and do physical exercise...
I saw on twitter someone say they spoke to Chambo at the Eastleigh match last night (they had a picture with him) and said he told them he wont be playing saturday. Believable? Who knows!
De Ridder for me too, quality player and Leeds defence isn't neccesserily the strongest going. With his pace, agility and trickery he'll have a field day! Especially as their LB is pretty poor 'n' all.
De ridder,he looks quality. As for Chamberlain,i couldn't give a damn if he's not fit,bit controversial i know but i only want players here who wanna be here and who are proud to pull on the saints shirt which alex obviously isn't!
You should not make judgements from a position of ignorance. You sound just like the sad pathetic individuals who booed him when we played Werder Bremin. I reserve judgement on Alex until all the details are made public other wise he is a saints player and he will therefore have my full support.
Looking at the training pictures on the site today - chambo is there and looks like he joined in so maybe he'll still play?
Apparently him and Barnard were training with Matt Radcliffe, the physio, which maybe suggests to me he's still on the mend? Hopeful for him being on the bench though, he'd be a great impact substitute!
Position of ignorance? ermmmmmmmmmm no,i saw a 17 year old who has had 10 years of training and use of our facilities to improve himself and also signing a 3 year contract last year and because he thinks there is some interest in him from a bigger club and the club is not giving in he decides to go to 2 national newspapers and have photos done with the journalists basically saying he wants to leave for better things, now to me that is disrespectful of the club i love and is also disrespectful to all the coaches and management that have helped him along the way,if that doesn't piss you off then that's your perogative but it's not mine and last time i checked it was a free world with free speech so don't you come on judging me! By the way you slightly contradict yourself when you say making a judgement from a position of ignorance because that's exactly what you're doing with me! stating that i probably boo, well i can tell you the only person i have ever booed at a football match is the ref so maybe you shouldn't make a judgement from a position of ignorance aigh?
I must add that it's not about him leaving,it's about the way he's gone about it,if he was just quiet and just let things happen in the background then i wouldn't be as angry with him.
Yes Chamberlain went to the papers, blah blah blah, but Adkins has stated he's training well and has put in good performances in pre-season so therefore I have absolutly no problem with him whatsoever. If he is sulking and moaning then offload him but he's not so cut him some slack!! He's a great talent and will be a pleasure to watch him progress this season I for one would never hope he is un-fit or injured as that is plain ridiculous!! For this coming match I suspect he will be on the bench so I would give De Ridder the starting place!!
need someone to torment the leeds left back, if they do have a weakness, so chambo, if not him de ridder
No just putting my point across. It amazes me that any saints fans can be happy with Chamberlain,i just wonder if a lesser player with lesser ability would get the same support,i very much doubt it.Anyway like i said you guys are entitled to your opinion but if i don't agree with it i'm gonna say so and not just agree with everyone for the sake of being nice.Oh and saintgreg i am calm,i'm not sat on a laptop frothing at the mouth!
