    Apparently young Alex hasn't taken too well to his supposed Fine;

    But, on the other hand, Boa Morte is a being earmarked as a possible replacement;

    In my opinion Boa Morte isn't what we need. I assume he would ask for a similar wage to what he is on now what I imagine is still of premiership quality. Also he is 33 so past his peek for a winger and his Injury history isn't good either. The only positive in my opinion what he can add is some much needed experience.

    I liked him 10 years ago, but do we want someone in the twilight of their career who doesn't want to get on the bus. Luckily, this is probably untrue.

    Why would we take an ageing player with no desire apart from a hefty wage????

    When he left he said some very unkind things about our club. We dont need or want him back. Let him get a final pay-day from some other club, if he can find one.

    I'm usually dancing in the streets when I receive a fine for anything, so think Chamberlain is being a little ungracious by being furious about it. Daily Fail read sun interview, copy Echo headline and fill in plausible blank. As for Boa Morte....nope

    He was pushed out to be fair by Hoddle. I remember seeing Boa Morte play for us and he looked a very decent player. Hoddle and his issues of poor man management cost us a good player.

    Don't want him now though as I think he is past it.

    his attitude sucked back then. I remember a home game where he lost the ball, didn't try and recover and we conceded and lost the game. Adkins would never buy a 33 yr old!

    I think you will find that it was more a case of we wouldn't pay him the money he wanted when he was here before. Bringing Boa Morte back would be as others have said a backward step

    Can't remember Hoddle pushing him out, but can remember a lot of Saints fans giving him a fair amount of stick. Think we paid Arsenal about £800 thousand for him, also cannot remember who signed him.

    Dave Jones signed him. He wasn't pushed out by Hoddle, just Hassan Kachloul and Jo Tessem were preferred wingers at the time. I seem to remember that we loaned him out to Fulham and then they signed him a year later, however the money went to Arsenal because of some weird clause in his contract.

    Gary Roberts picked up an injury this week.

    As for Boa Morte, he is not for us. Although, I do think sogning an old hand would be a good thing. Our squad is very young and fairly inexperienced ( iKnow Lallana, Morgan, Butterfield and Fonte played in the championship) and I think one good "old head" would do wonders for the squad. The difficulty is finding the right one... it aint Boa Morte

    When have either The Mail or The Mirror ever been right about anything, ever? I wouldn't wrap chips in either of em.

    Aren't we lucky to have such a wonderful press in this country?

    I too remember him leaving and making no secret of how he felt. On his day he was amazing but there weren't (and haven't been since) many of 'those days'. Ten years ago he was a negative influence and if he joined now he would go against everything Nigel Adkins is trying to create at the club. In my view he is an old version of Puncheon!

    I agree he's not what I would call an 'Adkins player' - he has too much attitude
