On the england front, I say drop all the old guard like terry, lampard, gerrard etc and bring in the youth such as chamberlain.
Give them the euros to gel, get to know each other etc, then we will fly in Brazil in 2014.

I'd keep Gerrard in (but then I would say that, because I'm biased!), but yeah I'd happily ditch the rest. It's why I said the other day that I'd like them those guys to join Rooney in getting 3 match bans.

There needs to be an appropriate mix of youth and experience in the team. Gerrard and Lampard need to be shifted though - both getting on and central to a failed team.

It's not that Theo isn't a good player, but it seems that the exciting side of a youngster's game seems to be lost once they play week in, week out in the Prem. Everyone is too afraid to make a mistake.

An astute point.

Tbh, OXO shouldn't be considered ready. Otherwise he would have been ready while he was playing for Saints last season. Plus, if he's ready, so is Adam Lallana. Probably more so. My goodness, Adam Lallana is the worst kept secret going, but typically he won't be picked for England, until he hits the Premier League. Anyway, back to the topic - the problem for England is, they don't have better at the moment. So yeah, select OXO for England, and put zero pressure upon him to perform. He's cheeky and confident enough, from his Saints background, to take a game by the scruff of the neck. And don't shackle him either. Start him.
