Played the full game today to add to his 20 odd minutes on Tuesday. On the whole I've been impressed - he's been playing as a defensive midfielder in a 4-3-3. His calmness and composure has been outstanding, it's hard to believe that this was his first ever professional start, and just his second match. On the ball he's great, great passing and control, and he's made some decent runs as well. At times he's been a bit too slow and been closed down, and a few lapses of concentration and lethargic control gave the ball to the opponents in dangerous areas, but if he carries on as he is he'll have a good season.
Ryan --I hope your boys look after him and send him back as a star performer! After he's done the business for you of couse!
Figured you guys might need some good news, hopefully this can cheer you up a bit. Chalobah's really coming on and scored his first senior goal v Wolves today. He's strong and composed on the ball, and makes great driving runs from the halfway line into the box. He doesn't look out of place in our talented midfield at all, and now that Almen Abdi is out for a few weeks Chalobah is going to have to step up even more. It's absolutely crazy that he's only 17, and if he carries on like this he should become a star for you. I'm sure most of you know, but incase you didn't he got his debut for England U21s this week too.
For what its worth he becomes an absolute animal on football manager too. Best cb in the league in the year 2023/24
I got high hopes for the lad Along with Kalas, Ake and Feruz a very promising future if they can develop well
I'd love nothing more than to see a midfield duet of Chalobah and McEachran in a few years. Two potential England players bossing our midfield, not too late to stick with them either so I hope we do and don't splurge **** loads on someone like Fellaini or Modric.
