Enjoying msking these chalkboards on the guardian site. I thought Coloccini had had a good game on Saturday, but his passing and tackling stats confirm it - Stonking stuff!

Interesting how much time he spends out on the left - covering for Raylor?

If you think this isn't great then compare to S Taylors stats. Tiote's passing was top draw too by the looks of things.

Top analysis is passes by the way, it sometimes messes up....

Click "activate" to see the figures for passing.

4/5 tackles and 41/43 passes, love it
it's also good to see that a lot of the passes were made from near to the halfway line and were short passes, not just hoofs from deep in our half

Stats lovers may also be interested in this - show how much gutierrez is hanging back to cover Raylor whilst Obertan offers little support to simpson. Obviously this is only indicative as it is passes, but shows their 'action areas' and confirms a point about Jonas we've all been making that he's been vital to cover an unsure Raylor defensively, so has not been as effective in attack.

Top one is Guti, Bottom is Obertan.

By the way - I hate Allardyce and his stats based approach to picking teams - but doesn't mean it can't be interesting to think about our style of plays - after all, I'm not picking the team. Also, stats ahould be used in conjunction with a subjective look at how the players are playing - someones stats may not be great, but doesn't mean they don't influence the game.
