Q&A planned for final game of the season

It was a successful Easter period for Rovers, picking up 4 points out of 6 and treating all the travelling fans to an entertaining day out at Dagenham on Monday.

Saturday’s performance may have been a little bit underwhelming, but we really did bounce back in style scoring four goals away from home.

It was great to see John-Joe O’Toole sign off with a goal; he has been fantastic since he joined us at the turn of the year, and I share your disappointment that he had to return to Colchester this week. He is the sort of player we want to see at Bristol Rovers going forward, and hopefully this is not the last we have seen of him.

It was also very encouraging to see Oumare Tounkara score two goals on his full debut for the club. He looks to be a strong and powerful player, and an exciting prospect for the future. Also a special mention to Conor Gough who stepped in at the last minute and did well for us.

Our recent form would put us top of the League two table, and although it is difficult not to look back and wonder what might have been, it is important that we continue to look forward and concentrate on building on our recent form.

I would like to thank everyone who took advantage of the Early Bird offer to buy their season tickets for next season. We have done our best to try and keep prices down for the coming campaign, to try and reward you for your fantastic support and commitment this year, and we have been pleased with the initial intake in the first month. The money we raise through season ticket sales is vital to help us through the summer months, so thank you again to all of you who have signed up.

Last night the youth team beat Watford in a close contest here at the Memorial Stadium to progress through to the national final of the Youth Alliance Cup. It has been a fantastic season for our youth set up, most notably with a number of them making appearances in and around the first team.

To reach a final and still be in with a good chance of winning the league is an amazing achievement, and I would like to congratulate everyone in the Youth Department for all their hard work.

I would also like to thank the Fans Forum Sponsorship Club for sponsoring the match last night. We all now hope that the final against Carlisle will be played here at the Mem.

For our last home game against Accrington Stanley I am going to be holding a Q&A session in the Clubhouse Bar to answer and questions you may have. So please come along and join me between 12.15pm and 1.15pm and I will do my best to keep you updated with everything going on at the club.

It is hard to believe there are just two home games left until the end of the season. At the end of 2012 I am sure we were all desperate for the season to end, but now we are all enjoying our football again, it seems a shame that it has to stop.

Let us just hope that we can take this attitude and form into next season as we make a push for promotion. For now we must just make the most of these last few games, and try and end the season on a high.

Thanks again for your support. Come on you Blues!

I like the fact that he hopes that we haven't seen the last of JJO'T. Would be great if he got out his chequebook and got him back for next season permanently.

if were still in L2 then i doubt JJO'T will be back. he wants a higher league and i dont blame him. if we go up however, same division he is in now, so he may join us.
