A statement from Levy's been posted on the OS this morning, with a title that's reminiscent of a Communist state.
    http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs/News/chairman-message-19052013.page?

To summarise, our new staff have settled into the new training centre, we've picked up lots of points, Bale did well, our youth set-ups done well, our loans have done well and we're looking to sign players.
We have a season ticket waiting list of over 42,000, Ledley King's taken to his ambassadorial role and our supporter groups have branched out.
Have an enjoyable day and a nice summer.
He may have put it a little better than I have, though.

"Looking ahead to the summer, we shall continue to seek to strengthen and improve the team and to retain key players."

What he should have wrote was...

"Looking ahead to August 31st, we shall continue to seek to strengthen and improve the team just as long as we can afford them or I get them for the right price at the eleventh hour..."

All is well at WHL and all is looking good for the future. The Chairman is happy, The Manager is Happy, The players are happy?, The Fans............the fans, ah the fans they are .....................................Spurs Fans; we smile, we pull out our hair, we suffer, we enjoy, we moan, we complain, but we keep coming back for more in ever increasing numbers throughout the world. Sometimes we even enjoy the game...................................COYS!

And the Test Match has finished in good time so that we can concentrate on the football and this big, big finish to the season.

When do you find out where you are on the season ticket list. I was 5000 and something last year so I must be getting close.

My renewal letter came lastweek as well, however, season ticket holders have until some time in June to renew so I guess people on the waiting list will hear late June/early July perhaps August. I just wondered if anyone knows exactly when.

He's an eloquent motherfucker, fair play to the man. Could have mentioned the 'regretful situation we found ourselves in at the start of this season regarding transfers' but that would suggest he had some intention of rectifying it this year.
Still, I've a good feeling about the upcoming few seasons, like I said at the start of this season, I genuinely think its purely a matter of time before he have a legitimate title challenge on our hands.

Season ticket holders have until tomorrow to renew. It wouldn't surprise me if you didn't get your place in the queue updated until September, because the ticket office/membership staff are reissuing all member cards this summer, so I doubt they will see updates on season ticket waiting list as a priority.

I know its a bit obvious but:

"Our squad has top players at all levels and we shall continue to seek stability and to retain key players this summer and beyond. We are a club that is focusing on growth and moving forward."

End of 2011/12 season - result, Modric & VDV gone, Ledley retires

    and now:

"Looking ahead to the summer, we shall continue to seek to strengthen and improve the team and to retain key players."

    End of 2012/13 season

Dannyboy's repeating itself, and if the result is the same it would mean 2/3 of this seasons star performers ****ing off.

    I'm a tad worried...

We signed three players who are in the same sort of class as Modric, VDV and King: Dembele, Vertonghen and LLoris. Plus four others who may turn out OK with time. If Sandro and Kaboul had been fit for 30 matches each we would have been third at least.

Spurs this year were everything I wanted: full of heart and tremendously exciting. We did better than any of us predicted we would, and we did it in style. I'll see the glass as half empty some other day. I'm tremendously pleased we pulled out the last game and the 72 points that went with it. I hope all teams I root for put on half as good a show as this one did.

  14. We'll keep Bale, but Levy knows we need more players like him if we are to keep him.

If we don't, at the very least, sign our long awaited marquee striker, then I want to see the "LEVY OUT!" banners around the stadium at the start of next season.

Sorry, but on what planet is Dembele anyway near Modric, VDV or King?

Verts, I'd go with that, and think he'll be even better next year. Lloris, still not WHOLLY convinced but could be up at that level FOR Spurs.

Modric is in another solar system compared to Dembele, Vdv is better than anyone we have in that position today besides Bale.
Verts, Lloris , are very good but their not creative attacking midfielders, these cost real money .

Yep and I have Photoshop all ready and waiting to get my banners designed and off to the printers if our esteemed Chairman has another one of his usual summers. He has nowhere to hide this time if we fail yet again to get the players the manager demands. His 'stability' rhetoric is lost on me. Last time we heard that, he fired the manager and put us back three years!

Compare Modric's first season with us with Dembele's and you might get a truer picture.

Dembele came as an end product , already a veteran of the premier league , and in theory at an age which he is at his peak.
In my eyes he is may be good but has undelivered especially as he was Levy's "marque" signing .
Not on your nelly, Modric technic is at another level.
