I wonder how many other Chairman actually replied to the petition to this extent.

I wonder if we are trying to be nice to them so that we can help them out by taking Cody off their hands.

The Coventry official site seem to be ok with it, but their message boards and Coventrymad websites aren't so complementary. The site won't let me post a link but you canfind it on NewsnowCoventry

Of course Scally is 100% correct. Sadly the CCFC is of their own making, or at least whoever agreed the deal with the owners of the Rioch Arena. To agree a +£1M rent and to give up the revenue streams for catering and hospitality is nothing more than incompetence, how on earth did CCFC expect to make any money in that arrangement??

Of course the main point is what can the football league chairmen do about it, absolutely nothing as it isn't a league issue where the club play. The situation is very sad but more historically important teams have gone under due to mismanagement so why should CCFC expect any special treatment, this whole petition is fruitless unless its sole objective was to drum up sympathy for a club that only has itself to blame. Scally is right that energy is better spent renegotiating the deal with the owners and council, both parties will suffer if CCFC are evicted.
