From West London Sport "13/12/2013 By David McIntyre Harry Redknapp says QPR have finally received enquiries about goalkeeper Julio Cesar. Rangers have previously been frustrated at the lack of interest in the Brazil international, 34, despite reports of numerous clubs looking to sign him. But manager Redknapp says there are now signs that Cesar, who has not played for the Championship promotion-chasers this season and is available on a free transfer, could secure a move when the transfer window opens next month. Manchester City and Sunderland have recently been linked with the former Inter Milan man. âA few clubs are interested in him suddenly. Weâve had a Premier League club and several clubs from abroad,â Redknapp revealed. âI would think thereâs every chance that Julio will go. He wants to play in the World Cup and needs to be playing.â ""
It would be ironic if he went to Man City to enhance his World Cup chances at the expense of Hart and England. Who knows, if Green keeps his form up he might sneak into the squad, after all we wouldn't want Ruddy facing Suarez with his record!...
