How do we think we are shaping up here? I still think we need another marque signing for CM. Bridcutt is gonna be first choice but alongside him I think we are still slightly weak. Grimes hasn't compared to Cook so far, Viera is playing there and I think he is doing well but imo still not quite ready to be first choice all season long. Mowatt seems to be preferred in the role behind the strikers or out wide which I agree with, not good enough defensively to play CM. It sounds like Monk doesn't like Diagouraga and Murphy (so hopefully they leave) which leaves us with Phillips on the bench who works hard but not much else imo. Who's available? I see Bradley Johnson isn't getting game time at Derby, he has definitely improved since leaving us. I would actually like to see us go all out for Aron Gunnarsson from Cardiff which woulda been more possible last season I think before the Euros, now might be harder.
If we play 4-2-3-1 I think we look quite strong, 4-4-2 I agree, we need someone alongside Bridcutt. I'm hoping Hernandez kicks into gear.
Hernandez doesn't seem comfortable with the defensive side and really is that luxury player that roams. I just think we are struggling for quality for those out and out central midfield positions. Jedinak would've perfect I think
