Cracking day for a game of football.

Unfortunately, STBL FC spoiled any chance of today being a title party by beating Motherwell but it is an opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Defender Cha Du-Ri and midfielder Victor Wanyama are suspended and winger James Forrest, who missed the Old Firm match with a bruised ankle, remains a doubt.

St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas has yet to decide whether to include new signing Derek Riordan in the squad. Murray Davidson may miss out with a knee injury, while Callum Davidson is struggling with a hamstring problem.

Forster; Lustig, Rogne, Loovens, Mulgrew; Commons, Brown, Ledley, Samaras; Stokes, Hooper

Subs: Zaluska, Matthews, Izaguirre, K. Wilson, Ki, Blackman, McGeouch

Lustig makes his home debut. Good to see Sammy, Stokes and Hooper all starting. Should have started the last three games.

Bombscare makes his return at CB though <yikes>

I think he gave up playing some strange sort of Irish sport to play football for Celtic. Could have been Gaelic football whatever that is. Didn't work out for him obviously.

    Rebs will know.

He was a minor with Cavan as far as I know.

Then again, so was Neil Lennon with Armagh.

'he grew up playing Gaelic football for Bailieborough Shamrocks. He began playing the association code with Bailieborough Celtic before travelling to Dublin to play for Belvedere, where he received call-ups for Irish youth squads. During his time at Belvedere, Sheridan chose to focus on his football career, having turned down an offer to join Australian rules club Brisbane Lions. He had trials with several clubs before being offered a contract by Scottish Premier League club Celtic, which he accepted'

    Who's free-kick is that? <laugh>

I corrected myself to Cavan minor.

I confused myself with rugby International Tommy Bowe who played for Monaghan.

You only remember your own who you lose. Cork lost Setanta O'hAilpin to the AFL & Tomas O'Leary to Rugby. Setanta has an All Ireland Senior medal and O'Leary a minor AI. ****ing shame.

I've been wondering what the Athenian Fenian could do on the right for a while.

Am I right in thinking this is his first time over there?

I'm finding this game incredibly frustrating.

What's happened to us recently? We're slow and boring as ****.

I know. I'm not saying we eased up, but physically and mentally the long run seems to have taken it out of them. The Kilmarnock game, as much as Killie were worthy victors, they could have been skelped on another day. Losing that took the wind out of the sails and it is hard to pick up the momentum again.

That is what I reckon anyway. Forrest looked a bit jaded as did Vic. It is a long season for a young team.

I'd be tempted to take Hooper off and put Brozek on for the 2nd half.

He hasn't looked interested for weeks.
