Did you see Charles Green's come out and said that oldco Rangers SPL debts are all paid off? Then in the next sentence he says he's still to pay the Jambos for that big galoot, but it will be next summer
Thats because it was agreed in the transfer that Rangers would pay Hearts a sum upfront and several installments, and one installment is still due to Hearts and theres a set date for it to be paid. I'll keep you right
The SPL withheld approx £1.3 from Rangers in ill gotten prize money. I understood that this money was to be divided up amongst Scottish football creditors. So who has Green paid? Or what has happened to that £1.3m?
Yes, but all football clubs have transfer fees as debts. It's no unusual. I know it said ALL debts have been paid but I think it was concentrating more on the debts to clubs who were owed money for tickets and stuff.

"These debts were incurred prior to the club going into administration and there was no obligation on the consortium buying the club to pick them up," Green added. "From the outset, I have made it clear that I firmly believe the correct thing for the club to do is settle these football debts as a priority and we kept our word. "Furthermore, the club was given a written commitment from the SPL [Scottish Premier League] in May that it would settle an outstanding debt to Dundee Utd. "It was frustrating to be informed by the SFA several days after they received the funds that they did not wish to be a 'clearing house' and in fact wanted us to settle the debts directly. Arrangements were then put in place by the club." Green did not clarify the status of debts Rangers accrued to non-Scottish clubs, which include Arsenal, Manchester City and Rapid Vienna.
