Celtic were founded as a charity and to this day remain committed to giving to those less fortunate

Seems like we are continuing this trend by letting the huns win the league two seasons running to ensure they get the £10m plus each year of CL money

Had we bought one striker last January we could have ruined rangers forever - now we are handing them a route back to financial security

Well done Lawell - you may be good at making money- but you are a **** <ok>

Would you have given Strachan £2/£3m though to buy a striker??

He'd have got Dion Dublin out of retirement & spent the money on 3 **** midfielders <ok>

We put bids in for Fletcher this time last year, around £2.5m apparently. Hibs were holding out for £4m to let him go to Celtic & he was keen on a move to England. Celtic refused to pay £4m for him which was quite right if you ask me, he's a good player right enough but will get you 10 goals a season - not the poacher we need.

I'm sure Lawwell would also have known that Strachan was off hence no big deals were done unless it was a star player who no manager could refuse to play. Mowbray has spent most of this transfer window trying to get rid of Strachans previous last minute desperate deals!!

Lawwell gets unfair stick if you ask me. Strachan had money to spend & spunked it on ****e, the decent players we did get were played in wrong positions or in the wrong system. Mowbray has also been supported very well by the board. Spent roughly £6m in the summer & £6m in January, £12m in one season ffs, with hardly any players actually sold!!! Flood, Hartley, Killen all released, only Caldwell & Robson generated any cash & that was probably about £1m in total.

If that was true Mowbray has still been given £10m since he took charge.

Don't understand how Lawwell gets stick when they are the facts <ok>

Lawwell is a tosser, loves to pop his head up when things are good but nowhere to be seen when the difficult questions need to be asked. He also tortures insects for his kicks, the sick ****er.

TTC - Mowbray has had £10m to assemble his squad & thats just transfer fees, if you want to add signing on fees, agents fees...........then the players released will also be entitled to pay offs as they did not ask to move etc.

Do you really want Lawwell to come out & say Mowbrays at fault for spending the money on **** players?

What lies? I agree in the past he has been guilty of getting too excited & promising signings which never materialised/fell through but that was over 2 years ago.

He is in charge of the day to day running of the club, not transfers or even the budget. He is held accountable by the board who will set certain figures that the club must adhere to, he is responsible for ensuring they are.

He could quite easily have left when Arsenal were chasing him but he declined to stay with us on the same salary at a time when he was getting stick about blue chip signings!!

The board as a whole do not do things to make profits for their pockets.......Dermot Desmond does not cash his dividends, they are put straight back in to the club, therefore he makes **** all from owning a controlling stake in Celtic, if anything it costs him millions to do so.

Lawwell, Desmond & the board as a whole have rightfully backed the boss, its up to Mowbray to deliver.

Peter Lawwel is a Celtic man through and through - he's there as a fan doing his dream job trying to run the club properly. We are going to have a loss of about £10m this season, if Lawwell had not of been so careful in the past few years and got rid of our £15m debt then we would be looking at £25m debt this year instead of a possible £10m - that would have meant a Rangerseque firesale.

Now all we need is the manager and the team to do the ****ing business they are well paid to do just like Lawwell has.
