I was out with a friend for an ill advised midweek pint or two the other night and we got talking about the team Lennon built and how he possibly could have improved on one or two of the signings and the high points and the low points of a most eventful season. Anyway we got round the seemingly never ending amount of players we were linked with last summer alone and with a little help from the wonderful mobile internet we managed to come up with almost 80 players (including the 11 or 12 we signed). Those players were linked with us over a 3 month period.
So with the transfer silly season underway I thought I'd see how many players we have been linked with just 2 weeks after the last season ended.
Here are the ones I've found do far:
Bothroyd, Mackail-Smith, Bellamy, Given, Long, McFadden, Keane, Westwood, Wanyama, Vaughan, de Nigris, Boulahrouz, (Ben) Foster & Erimenko.
That's 14 players that I've found in the last few minutes *theres bound to be more that I've missed*and we're only at the 4th of June.
We may very well sign one or two of those already listed but I think we could reach the 100 mark by the end of July!
