They don't have to. When taking a player on loan the club taking the player can come to an agreement to pay all of his wages or to pay a part of his wages with the parent club making up the difference.

ight be an idea to let him go - provided we can call him back if we need him. At least that way the lad gets games under his belt.

I honestly don't think he is our automatic number one keeper even when he is fit, but to loan out a player who we payed 9 million for would be crazy...I reckon that when he is fit he will be sold on, but at a significant loss to us.

He's never been our best keeper since he came here. As for his cost, do what we did with Ringo cut our loses and get rid. ps there will be no queue of EPL clubs after him even when he's out of contract next summer. He is not prem level.

wouldn't loan him out like, would rather keep him incase Mignolet gets injured

in his last year of his contract get what we can even if its only 3 or 4m and get his wages off our books

Bruce is gradually getting rid of Keane's squad - not many left now!

Bruce, correct me if im wrong, but as I understand things Gordon is the last year of his contract. If the club believe that its not in their best interests to offer him a new one, who are we to question their decisions. Yes RK paid 9 million for him, but to my mind I dont think we got value for money. Thats just my opinion and yours may differ, If you do, then I respect your views. Gordon could go to another club and become the best in the world, but as far as im concerned he has not cut the mustard. Only time will tell. One of us will be right and one of us will be wrong. But at the end of the day Ellis Short and Sir Niall have to make those decisions. So far I would back their judgement. I would also add that they reckon that hes not worth the wages hes on otherwise why go out and sign Westwood.:emoticon-0150-hands

If the papes want him - they should cough up £3-4m or fu*k off.

If they leave it till xmas they will have no chance, coz CG will go to the club offering the biggest wages and that will not be the papes.

Personally I reckon CG will want to get fit and make the No1 jersey his own - as has been said on this thread, I think he is still our best keeper when fit.

    Absolutely.

The transfer fee is not Bruce's to justify. If he believes that Mig and Westwood are good enough then this rumour may not be so daft
