Surprised contract talks have broken down. I can only assume he was offered to be a squad player rather than a week in week out 'first teamer'. Kelvin Wilson isn't the answer though. Another Tunchev IMO. If he can stay fit then great, but will he?
You are probably right - we bid £6m for Jelavic but he opted to stay before moving to Everton later in the season - but Rangers are being run by Administrators and they may well want cash ASAP .. so we live in hope.

This 'proven' thing is a bit of an urban myth IMHO - if you have the basic skills, desire and health then the rest sort of follows ... it took Wayne Rooney exactly how long to show that he was a premier player when he first burst on the scene at Everton? - now Rooney was obviously at the top end in terms of potential but there are plenty of others who have made immediate impact, Rodwell, Ramsey, Wilshire, Tomkins, Phil Jones, Sturridge ... the risk bit is all relative to basic ability ...
For a massive price tag like that they either need to be a proven goalscorer or have undoubted potential to score alot of goals. Kris Boyd banged them in for fun in Scotland but failed massively in the championship but on the flip side you have Nikica Jelavic. 7M would be miles too risky for us to take with Hooper
It was my understanding that he is out of contract at the end of the season. Cash is kinda irrelevant for Rangers where Aluko is concerned
