Well, we expected 'the mouth' to reactivate once Pearson left, and he sure has. Read this article & replace the word 'Cellino' with 'Bates'. No difference, IMO. He's allowed to slag off the player and make ridiculous remarks, but will not alow Byram to respond. What a despot. And all because Byram will not sign a contract that will reduce a wage that is still on the junior end of our pay scale. "Too big for his boots", indeed! Pah! I am absolutely disgusted, and wish Byram all the very best for his future career.

A blessing in disguise. Byram over rated and we'll likely get a better replacement

You're missing the point. This is not about player opinions. This is about a player being rubbished in public by a President, simply because he refuses to comply with Cellino's dictat. It's certainly going to do nothing for Byram's confidence or attitude, it'll do nothing for team morale, and it'll cost the club as we'll now get buttons for him when he inevitably leaves.

What next? Gawd knows with that mouth in full out of control mode.

    A home
A young talented home grown player who has won player of the year, who in the current team has played more than anyone else, who despite being played out of his preferred position has created more key chances than any other player this year, a player who wants to play for Leeds but has been offered a wage cut despite been courted by many premiership teams; yep he sounds like just the player we should be getting rid off now that Pearson has gone and Bertha Mason has been released from the attic

Funny you should mention Pearson. I was just wondering to myself if perhaps this was the reason he left Leeds. There was a lot of speculation that he had fallen out with Cellino over one specific decision Cellino was hell bent on.

This is all just rumours (obviously not Cellino's rant) but we have no idea what the offer is to Byram. We have no idea whether he would sign a reasonable contract or not as lets be honest it is entirely possible his head has been turned. Even if that weren't the case (which I actually don't think it is) he's being played out of position and many can't see him retaking that RB spot, maybe he doesn't think its the best place to continue to improve. There are so many factors we have no idea about.

And again, more speculation about Pearson's and Cellino's relationship. For me there is no real reason to not believe the statement the club released about why Pearson left.

Sorry Neil but I don't agree with you for one reason Byram has been simply going through the motions has never put a proper shift in this season .I have said on numerous occasions his head has been turned he thinks he is too good for the club now where did we just hear that!
We will be lucky if we get £2m unless our guardian angel has already sold him as part of the swap deal with Buckley now would that surprise you, never under estimate MC

Well it's not as if as Leeds fans we've not had a great deal of practise with this over the last 10 years....

The selling I can disagree with but cope with, it's the bullshit attached and the need to smear his name to try and get the fans onside that I object to; this line that Sam Byram thinks he's bigger than the club... Really? Sam Byram, the egotist? There's only one person who acts as if he's bigger than Leeds and that person is not Sam Byram.
