So he is usually a good right back? Therefore he could be a better right back. He may step up this year. He was good (if still a bit inconsistent) at the Euros.
Sit down and hold on SpacedSaint .... I agree He has shown some excellent moments going forward but often some glaring holes defensively. I remember how well he did against Memphis at home to United last season, but then Memphis turned out to be duff, so I am not sure what to take from that one. I then watched him in the Euros and he looked very good defensively, only to come back and put in the performances he did against Watford and United. Clearly he has potential, but right now I think we need a lot of work on his defending. Some cleverer people than me at the club think differently.
Think we should offer Fraser Forster a new deal. He's been on his current one for two whole months now.
Not sure what he's done to deserve an extension after a very average (being generous) season with us, considering he had 3 years left on his previous deal. We could have made a very good profit on him this summer after winning the Euros and I'm sure there would have been some interest. Unless the 'black box' doesnt contain any upgrade on Cedric then I'm kind of surprised by this one. Maybe the club felt there would be a huge over reaction if we did sell him from the media/fans.
They are rationalising wages and contracts. Cedric will do a job for us....Saints is not going to have a super-duper player in every position. We're not that big yet. Sometimes a team can play better than its constituent parts.
Yep pretty much my feelings on this one. Don't wanna slate the guy but don't think he's good enough for where we want to be. Still time to be proven wrong though, there's plenty of players from abroad who have massively improved in their second season.
