Frankel destroyed CC at Goodwood in a race where there was basically no pace and he had to lead the whole way. Frankel destroyed a decent Guineas field with ease when leading the whole way. On the contrary, at Ascot a pacemaker was deployed and Zoffany ended up 3/4 length behind Frankel. I don't see the need for a pacemaker...
It does seem a strange one as if there is no pace and turns into a sprint who on earth is going to out sprint Frankel. The greater fear would be if someone like A. O'B wanted to put in a 10f horse and a pacemaker and really go from the gates to try and get Frankel to bottom out and be taken in the final half furlong. It sadly is not possible now but such a plan along such lines for Godolphin could have been to put in Delegator to go from the gates and also have Rewilding a classy 10f horse waiting to close in the final furlong when the pace takes it's toll, throw in Rio de laplata as well to pick up any slack and then you maybe have a three pronged plan to try and get Frankel beaten, but as far as i can see a no pace race would simply play to his strengths. I cannot wait and hope Frankel does it impressively as i am sure he will.

Nice video Ron, some beautiful aeroplanes but the Space Shuttle is a bit of a cheat on the speed. The XB-70 "Valkyrie" was an amazing thing !!!
