slightly off the football topic, but has anyone been watching celebrity big brother?

Jim Davidson is in it. And, as a well known addick i thought i'd keep an eye on it / him. It's actually better than I thought. I usually hate that i could waste an hour several times a week watching this sort of program but because he's coming across so well, i'm not that bothered (and also because i'm bored sh1tless on paternity leave).

he's having a spat with one of the Nolan sisters who does nothing, apart from moan about his existence.

Lee Ryan, also an addick, is in there. But he's a twat, so i'll keep this paragraph about him brief.

Jim is my all time favourite comic now that Bernard Manning has passed away.

Interesting that he came top of the vote last week, suggests that many other love his comedy too.

Is it a sign of getting old when, like me, you don't know who 90% of the celebrities are?

I recognised the boxer & Nolan.

Probably not a great time to admit it, but I did some business with Lee Ryan a couple years back (during the release of an Ice Age movie) and we attended a game together. Definitely the most animated guy in the west that day. Don't watch CBB but have kept an eye on it from the news sites - is the problem that he's hooking up with 2 different women, or is it more? Have he and Jim (who I can't stand personally, sorry Vol) spoken about Charlton?

yep, he got w@nked off by one girl (been in nuts etc), then told her he fancied the megan fox lookalike the next day and then did stuff with that one.

they have mentioned cafc a few times. Jim sung valley floyd road at one point.

    Boys will be boys <cheers>

As much as I'm not a fan of Jim, you have to admit he is very passionate about Charlton. Wasn't it he who financed the red arrows to fly over against Hartlepool?

As a comedy purist I tried to watch Jim Davidson's stand up last week. I watched 14 minutes before I had to turn it off. It was vile.

I would argue that the funniest Charlton fan is Pete Sinclair - he's the writer of 'Lead Balloon'; well worth a follow on Twitter.

I would say that I'm a close second.

I know a few people that bought pot from Jim in the fox under the hill at shooters hill.

I have a friend in the forces and he said Jim was one of very few 'stars' that really took an interest when entertaining the troops in Afghanistan he would spend hours playing football, swapping shirts and telling endless racist jokes which went down brilliantly in a environment when the rule is not colour but balls. He is genuinely mental about Charlton and is quite knowledgable about the clubs history.

Not perhaps our finest comic but our most genuine.
