Just read that we are lineing up a new bid for Cavani, apparently he's not very happy cos Napoli sold he's strike partner Levezzi too PSG, could this be a nail in Torres's coffin.I have mixed feelings bout Torres, but out of the 2 i'd rather Cavani unless Torres starts banging them in, starting this weekend against le arse-anal, I think he's got arf a dozen games t turn it rand, otherwise he gotsta go imo

In all honesty Cavani is just another Torres. They are both very similar players except Cavanis finishing is a bit better but Torres link-up play and passing/team-work are much better.

If we're going to get rid of Torres it at least has to be for someone better e.g. Falcao. Falcao,Villa,Neymar are the only realistic options that would do any better than Torres

I agree that Torres is a geat player, and he works his cotton socks orf, but we never bought him for that reason we bought him t smash the back of the net, a replacemnt for Drogba and has'nt been doin it, you hit the nail on the head with '' better finishing'' which is imo the only thing missing from our game at the mo

He still has 4 goals + 2 assists in 8 games this season. That's good, 1 goal in 2 at the moment.

Just don't see the point in wasting 40million + on Torres #2.

Falcao i can understand because him and torres are completely different players and Falcao is more of a drogba type player, but Cavani is just Torres basically

I thought we got rid of Drogba so we could play attractive football with the ball on the ground and not hoofing it up the pitch as soon as we have it. I, am GLAD we dont have another Drogba. People need to realise, he does so much more than his stats show. What he puts in enables the TEAM to score, in a TEAM game. Get off his back and start cheering him, hes got an adundance of qaulity still, Once that midfield gels better and lampard is dropped. He will get even more than the 2-1 ratio currently. I dont think he was bought as a replacement for drogba.

Doesn't look like he is unhappy. Cavani enjoys playing for Napoli. He scored a hat-trick against Lazio yesterday. skip to 29 seconds to see Cavani's goals in the video below:

I'll say it again, he signed a new contract just before the end of the transfer window and seems very happy at Napoli.

This 'story' is utter utter garbage.

Doesn't matter who we sign as striker, until we get a midfield that can feed the front players we are pissing in the wind.

We got plenty of creativity IMO. But when you play our system, the front man has to be scoring. Think not signing another striker will come back to haunt us. Hope I'm wrong though.

Pivot is the weak link atm especially when we play Lamps/Mikel. No surprise the best two games the pivot has had is Wolves and Newcastle when Lamps/Mikel aint been playing together and no surprise Torres has scored in both games

    Ramires Oscar
    Moses Mata Hazard
    Torres

    Or

    Romeu Oscar
    Moses Mata Hazard
    Torres

    Or

    Romeu Ramires
    Mata Oscar Hazard
    Torres

    For me imo.
Would personally get rid of Mikel in the summer and let Lamps go and then keep it as Ramires,Romeu,Oscar and get De Bruyne and Josh back or buy Fellaini
