Excellent signing - he grew throughout the season we (Swansea fan in peace!) had him. Really looked the business and Spurs are being stupid letting him go. Don't understand it at all. I would have said that he'd have been a good signing for any team outside the top three, if I'm honest.
Shut it you grumpy old fart!............................................. please log in to view this image Have to say well done to you boys, one hell of a signing, now all you need is three more defenders!................
come now old spark, you know im fair minded when needs be .....you old goat !! I always give credit when its due, you've known me long enough fella, its the same with you too in fairness, all the rest of the bullshit that goes on is just something to while away the hours when a lack of footy is around the boards We recent passing of one of our fav posters prophet it does give a bit of perspective though doesn't it? No doubt Battle will re commence soon enough mate...
Spark! He's got his faults but at least he's honest I'll give him that. Apparently he wouldn't have got in the starting line up over there this season according to some. You've got to laugh sometimes.
Well who is he going to displace clever clogs? Chico or Ashley? if we had bought him, he'd be bench warming, and he's too good for that, so maybe you need to sit down and cogitate a bit!.........................
Caulker is a great player no doubt but I have to say that he would be behind Ash and Chico, we have watched him for a full season, you guys haven't,caulks still has a few rough edges that Ash and chico don't have, caulks wins on headers though,he is a monster there
Gutted Strange they wouldnt sell him for more last year, then he finally plays 28 times for them/ gets a cap and they let him go for a lower value. Secretly hoping there is something that AVB/Levy knows that we dont.....but begrudgingly suspect you got a bargain.
As I said on your Brentford thread last night I couldn't understand why MM wasn't making defence his no.1 priority and that if the Caulker rumours were true he would be an asset to you. Well full marks to MM for pulling this off, although I am not sure I understand Daniel Levy's thinking sometime though as he will need cover in the centre back position - anyway that's his problem! Caulker did well for us and I would have loved him to have stayed on although I must agree with the previous comments that I dont believe he would be an automatic 1st team choice above Ash and Chico and would undoubtedly be on the bench. He goes to you knowing he will play every game which is what his priority is. Looking forward to seeing how the Bony/Caulker clash goes, Caulker has good pace but I thought his positional play sometimes could be better but I am sure that last season will have helped in that regard. Good signing though lads but I still think he will need support around him but good luck to him
