will he be up to the task of playing for wales' biggest club? its one thing playing in a smaller, council owned stadium with low expectations, quite another to play for a club who have ambitions to build a club that can compete at this level for years as i'm sure you'd agree..... are you happy levy has sold a prospect like caulker to us?
Avb only recently spoke highly of caulker but mangers talking up player then selling them, Avb must have learnt from the expert Arry! Sad to see him go but caulkers body language has always been of someone who never felt wanted so best for his career he moved on.
Strange move. £8M probably represents his market value now, but he is an improving young player, already capped by England, who has the attributes to be a top class defender. It will cost more than £8M to replace him and the chances are that will be with a player with a limited shelf life (3-5 years), no re-sale value, who will be an unknown quantity in the PL and will command higher wages. Even stranger with Gallas leaving as it puts pressure on Spurs to buy. 3 centre halves is not enough, especially with Dawson and Kaboul injury prone and Vertonghen often used out of position. Surely Caulker would have got games with Gallas gone?
Surprised Swansea didn't come in for him. Already had a spell there and would fit perfectly with the way they play. I'm sure he'd pick them over Cardiff seeing as he wants to play Premier League football, not struggle for relegation then fade off into the obscurities of a bankrupt league 1 club.

I don't think enough thought has been given here to the players own feelings, what we think he should do is irrelevant. Obviously the lad wants regular first team football and is not happy to sit on the sidelines waiting for injury or suspension and the League Cup. His run of games last season with Gallas told me he's not ready for regular first team, and our management clearly agree, so if he wants that and is happier to find that elsewhere thats fair enough, and i wish him the very best. We let many players go, not many have gone on to be a regretful decision but he could be one.
If this turns into Cardiff and Swansea fans arguing or trading petty insults it will be closed. I'm getting more and more annoyed about us selling him, to be honest. I just hope there was something going on that we didn't know about, like maybe he pissed someone off at the club.
Ohhhh dear, this article did make me laugh. But it genuinely surprises me that he's gone to Cardiff, with all due respect. I could see him breaking into a more mid-table team rather than just slotting into the high-risk position of a recently promoted team. And Swampy, Aber town are the biggest club in Wales. We're just a little isolated. And ****.
The other Aber's I actually lived near Aberdare for a while, genuinely, the best thing going for it was that it wasn't Merthyr. And when I moved further south to Neath, one of the boys I used to play football with up there punched out one of my teeth in a friendly match. I love Wales...
I'd just like to thank Spurs, a brilliant signing for us. The lad done well when he played for Swansea and I for one is happy the way things were done between the two clubs. I can understand your thoughts that Cardiff will struggle in the Prem but the manager & owner are from sterner stock that those who went before. Doubt we will set the stage alight but we will surprise quite a few.

Great signing for Cardiff. Just cant believe we've sold him bearing in mind Kaboul is still struggling, Vertonghen is injured and Dawson is pretty injury prone himself! I know they all want to follow in King Ledley's footsteps, but they're taking it a bit far! We MUST have something up our sleeve by letting Caulker go. He'll do very well at Cardiff and i wish him luck.
