Thought that might get your attention........... I think he likes going forward a lot more than defending...... so why not just convert him to the left wing-back, utility, of course, until YSY comes back? In any formation, I think he will do fine there. It's that he's left all to do by himself too much, and we might as well stick Dunne and Rio in the middle the whole time and not let them move, and let the ones who want to do something go forward with it - and Caulker would like that.
Not a bad thought; the lad could do well there. Let's face it he's found himself attacking on he left side a number of times recently; especially our home matches.
If not a wingback, I'd make him a winger, having to never really defend. Watching him maraud forward on a number of occasions, I really don't think he likes defending, I think he loves to go forward and show some of his skills on the ball.
Er no......if we are going to stick with 352, which I don't think we will, back to 442 tomorrow, just let him play on the left of the back 3.... BTW I take it that we all saw what a fabulous left footed cross Fer put in last night for OBZ when he was taken out by the Arsenal full back when about to score and Atkinson bottled awarding a 2nd penalty.......Compare that to Hoilett from the same wing.....
